Dear Mr. Hao,
I have been meaning to write you sooner, but with the jet lag, Christmas & New Year holidays & our leaving New York again to drive for days to Florida, I just never had the chance. My apologies.
The trip overall was very good. You did a great job organizing it & we were impressed with the service. All the drivers & guides were on time & polite. The vehicles clean & air conditioned, which we appreciated. Some of the guides were better than others, which is to be expected. I'm not spelling their names correctly but Dow in Laos & Lap in Hanoi were the best. Their English was excellent & they were most knowledgeable. Our guides in Bangkok (Jeng) & Saigon (Tuck) were very nice, but more difficult to understand & seemed less experienced, but very nice.
The hotels were all perfect. They were each different but all were lovely & had staff that could assist us & speak English. The locations were also good. Most of the excursions out of the cities were worthwhile. I would NOT recommend taking a full day to drive & take a train to see the Bridge on the River Kwai. It took too long & was not that interesting to us, although we did ask you to set it up for us originally so the complaint is not with you.
I also think we might have omitted Thailand. It was my least favorite & we ended up taking eight flights throughout the trip which, although they were only an hour or so, had us coming & going & sitting a lot in airports. We found that very tiring. Again, you booked what we requested, but you may want to share with other travelers what our experience was.
The evening Vespa tour in Saigon was a lot of fun & a perfect was too get around the city, especially since our flight there was delayed & we lost the afternoon sightseeing opportunities. We also liked the bike & massages. We would definitely recommend VietnamStay & you to anyone who asks. Thank you for your time & advice in helping us plan a most memorable trip. Wishing you a happy & health 2016.
Best regards,
